As founder and director of the UCLA Disabilities and Computing Program (1984-1998), I established one of the first adaptive computing service programs in a college or university in America. The DCP gained a national and international reputation as one of the top university programs in adaptive technology. The "UCLA Model" was noted for innovative leadership in a number of areas:
As chair of EDUCOM's Project EASI, (Equal Access to Software and Information, now a part of AAHE), 1990-1992, I helped develop EASI into the leading national support organization for adaptive computing in post-secondary education.
