Overview
Learn the principles of universal web-page design, and know how to produce web-sites that are fully accessible to people with sensory, learning and mobility disabilities. Well-designed pages also benefit people who use portable web-devices or who have slow or intermittent connections to the Internet. Topics covered:
- Sensitization. Understand the business case for creating web-sites that anyone can access.
- Assistive technologies. See assistive technologies and access techniques that people with disabilities use to operate computers and surf the web.
- Web barriers. Recognize common barriers that people with disabilities encounter when using the World Wide Web.
- Solutions. Know and apply WCAG 1.0 or Section 508 Requirements.
