• Alan Cantor discussed the costs and benefits of mouseless access and macro techniques at CSUN 2006 in Los Angeles, March 2006.
• Three new resources are ready!
  • Keyboard Access Tips Version 2. This 48-page booklet describes 18 fundamental techniques for accessing Windows without a mouse. It is available in alternative formats.

2005

• EASI webcasts on software customization. A series of four on-line classes on improving the accessibility and usability of Windows for people with disabilities. October 2005.
• Alan Cantor facilitated two pre-conference courses at RESNA 2005.
• Alan Cantor presented a case-study at the SIG 11 and SIG 14 Show-and-Tell at RESNA 2005: Quadrupling the productivity of an office worker with cerebral palsy.
• Alan Cantor lectured on preventing ergonomic injuries when accommodating persons with disabilities at the 8^th Annual Assistive Technology Summer Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, 14 June 2005.
• The Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario invited Alan Cantor to present on creative approaches to accommodation planning. This event took place on 11 May 2005.
• Two articles published in March 2005:

• Sandy Feldman is our newest associate! Sandy is a web developer, graphic designer, and illustrator par excellence with a keen understanding of usability and accessiblity issues. She is now working on a redesign of the Cantor Access Inc. site. Stay tuned!
• We welcome Melissa Monty, Ph.D., as an associate! Melissa is a human factors engineer with many years experience in the high-tech industry championing accessible and usable product design. We have collaborated with Melissa since 1998. She is available for consultations and training.

2004

• Alan Cantor led a hands-on session at Closing the Gap, 21 October, in Minneapolis: Keyboard-only Access to Windows: Advanced.
• Alan Cantor facilitated an all-day, hands-on session for New York City Department of Education rehabilitation professionals on built-in Word commands, the macro recorder, UI modifications, AutoCorrect, and Visual Basic. Thursday 12 August, 2004. Manhattan.
• Alan Cantor facilitated a hands-on, full-day, preconference course at RESNA 2004, 18 - 22 June, in Orlando: Creating Accessibility Enhancements for Microsoft Word Using Built-in Commands, User Interface Modifications, the Macro Recorder, and Visual Basic Procedures.
• Alan Cantor facilitated a half-day preconference course at RESNA 2004, 18 - 22 June, in Orlando: Introduction to Job Accommodation.

• Alan Cantor presented on the physical and attitudinal barriers that young people with disabilities face in the workplace at a workshop for the Toronto District School Board, Thursday 4 March 2004.
